How far are you willing to go to save a few bucks on your auto insurance?
In the late 80’s I began what turned into a 20 year career as a photojournalist. The newspaper i worked at had three darkrooms. One for film processing, the others for printing. one for colour and the other for black and white. We shot Kodak films and printed on Kodak papers, and used Kodak chemistry.
We captured images using the New Canon F1’s or Canon T-90’s, and later the EOS 1 and 1N. I remember loading Ektapress 100, 400 or 1600 ISO films to capture the events around our City. The photography world was dominated by The Eastman Kodak Company. So today, I was sad a little when I read the stories about the plans for Kodak to file for bankruptcy by the end of January.
Kodak has had a tough go since digital photography became popular in the early 2000s. and it’s digital printing effort have not been a success.
